bulletKhalil Gibran Stamp Project.  Petition Page

The American Committee for Kahlil Gibran Stamp was formed by me in 1987by Mr. Robert Andrews and others.  Almost 20 years later, we are still under consideration by the Postal Service considering the fact that it gets 50,000 subject requests per year and awards only 25 commemorative stamps per year.  Our current target is 2008 which is the 125th anniversary of Gibran's birth.  The stamp committee selects its awardees two years in advance.  Therefore, any efforts you can contribute to this cause in 2006 are very much appreciated.
From Robert S. Andrews, Chairman, American Committee for Khalil Gibran Stamp

In an effort to help this committee we added a page where all you have to do is print it out and get your friends and family to sign it and send it to the committee.  We hope the American-Lebanese clubs and organization will help with this project.  This is a great project to adopt for your club or organization.

The Little Phoenician - Message from Lebanon

Dear Friends,

More than anytime before, we find ourselves in need to share optimism about the future of our beloved country. In order to spread an encouraging positive message supporting the rebuilding of a brighter united Lebanon, we have conceived:  LITTLE PHOENICIAN “A little plush doll, A big message of hope”

This adorable character is a homegrown gift concept packed with a heartwarming story telling that he is destined for the wonderful mission of bringing people together. This is a totally independent project which sole aim is to remind everybody that this country is still a home, for all. We sincerely thank all those who have already embraced the idea and adopted what is quickly becoming the mascot of a new Lebanon.

So go ahead, grab a LITTLE PHOENICIAN off the shelves and pass it on to a relative, a friend or your neighbor’s kid! It doesn’t matter as long as you are circulating the message of hope for Lebanon!

local and worldwide deliveries: www.BuyLebanese.com

Story on back of box:
“Little Phoenician was born in early springtime, when flowers of hope were blooming. His leap in time is still unexplained to date. All we know is that he is destined for the wonderful mission of bringing people together.  At this moment he doesn’t know it yet, he is tiny, cuddly and playful. He just
can’t stop smiling and spreading positive energy around. He might trick you with his comfy seated position, but he will surprise you snooping around your office, crawling up your backseat on a road trip or hiding in your travel suitcase while away from home. When tired at night, he will take over any warm bed you provide. His heartbeats will attract colorful dancing dreams.  Hshhh!, he needs to sleep now for tomorrow is a long day of smiling all over again!…”
